From today, we will be implementing a 15-day money back guarantee. This policy reflects a change from our policy of refusing the vast majority of refund requests.
We think that by offering a refund policy to prospective customers, we can highlight our belief that the service we provide is outstanding.
There are a couple of caveats to our policy:
- It does not apply to domain name registrations, renewals or transfers. This is simply down to how the domain name system works; we cannot unfortunately get a refund from our suppliers.
- You have 15 clear days (a clear day means a whole day - thus, starting the day after you sign-up) from your first payment for a particular is received, to submit a refund request. It doesn’t matter when we process your request, as long as we receive it within 15 days.
- This policy doesn’t overrule our current internal policy: we are happy to provision a refund at any stage, where we feel that we have gone against our company values, or where we haven’t applied our Terms of Service.
The next couple of months at Speed Hosting have one theme: change. We have made several changes to the way we operate even in the last couple of weeks. We have redeveloped our domain pricing policy, and made a couple of changes to our website. Our live support is online more often - and today, we are implementing a refund policy.

Hi there!
First of all, welcome to our new blog. We’ve been planning some changes to our website for quite some time, and this post marks the beginning of several changes that we’re going to be introducing over the next few weeks - but you’ll hear more about them soon.
Secondly, I’ll take this opportunity to introduce myself; I’m Stephen, the Operations Director here at Speed Hosting, and if you’ve contacted our support, you might have been replied to by me. On the whole, I’m responsible for making sure that our customers are pleased with what we do, and so, we want to make sure that everyone is as up-to-date with the company as is possible. We used to send e-mails to announce new products or changes to our service, but that has become largely ineffective. We’ll be sending our quarterly newsletters from now on, for those who don’t read the blog.
We’ll be using the blog for more than service updates and product announcements; we’ll regularly be posting small editorials, on subjects surrounding the web hosting industry. We’ll also be using it to introduce the rest of the team here at Speed Hosting; and hopefully you’ll get to know us a bit better.
We’ve also got a few other ways you can connect with us, both on Facebook and on Twitter. You should add us to both of these services if you can: we’ll be running a couple of contests and promotions that will use these services specifically.
